Pat Thornton
Director of CIS Enablement, Corporate Information Security, Lockheed Martin Corporation
Pat Thornton currently leads Lockheed Martin’s Corporate Information Security Enablement Directorate. In that capacity, Pat leads Security Engineering and Architecture, as well as facilitating Cyber Governance, Risk, and Compliance across the enterprise. Pat reports to the Lockheed Martin Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Joel Johnson.
Pat has nearly 20 years of experience at Lockheed Martin, first starting as an intern while attending Penn State University. He has worked in Information Security organizations for three different business areas and the corporate offices. He also provided IT leadership to a team of over 400 individuals supporting the divestiture and separation of the IS&GS business to Leidos and was instrumental in efforts to secure Lockheed Martin's Cloud First initiative.
Pat earned master’s degrees in Computer Science and Technology Management from Villanova, and a bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State.
