Dr. Pankaj Rohatgi has over 20 years experience designing secure systems. At CRI, Rohatgi leads research and services efforts relating to differential power analysis. Prior to CRI, he was a Research Staff Member and Manager of IBM’s Information Security Group, where he conducted research in applied cryptography, secure hardware, systems and network security, and contributed to numerous security products including the IBM 4758, the world’s first FIPS 140 level 4 certified crypto co-processor and IBM’s System S. He was also the security architect for the OpenTV operating system. He has published more than 40 technical articles and has served as the Program co-chair of CHES 2008 and on the CHES Steering Committee. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University in 1994.
