Norbert Schirmer studied computer science and got his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich in the field of formal verification. His research was focused on the formal verification of a complete system stack including the hardware, the operating system, compilers and applications as well as the Microsoft hypervisor Hyper-V. He currently is the Vice President of the Business Unit Endpoint Security of Rohde and Schwarz Cybersecurity where his main focus is the development of innovative security solutions for building trusted infrastructures that offer advanced information flow control and protection against zero-day exploits and advanced persistent threats.
