Nithan Sannappa

Nithan Sannappa is an Associate Legal Director, Product at Twitter. In that role, he partners with product and engineering teams across Twitter's consumer and revenue portfolio to build trustworthy products for Twitter's customers, advising on privacy, data protection, content regulation, advertising, and other consumer protection laws throughout the product development lifecycle. Immediately prior to joining Twitter, Nithan was a consumer protection attorney in the Federal Trade Commission's Division of Privacy and Identity Protection where he led investigations into the privacy and data security practices of companies in the technology sector, including the social media, location-based advertising, and consumer device industries. During his time at the Commission, Nithan also worked closely with Congressional staff, providing advice and subject matter expertise on proposed federal data privacy legislation.
