Nicole Ozer is the Technology and Civil Liberties Policy Director at the ACLU of Northern California. Ozer works on the intersection of new technology, privacy and free speech and developed the organization’s online privacy campaign, Demand Your dotRights. She graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College, and earned her J.D. with a Certificate in Law and Technology from Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley. Before joining the ACLU, she was an intellectual property attorney at Morrison & Foerster LLP. She was recognized by San Jose Magazine in 2001 for being one of 20 “Women Making a Mark” in Silicon Valley. Her most recent publication is “Putting Online Privacy Above the Fold: Building a Social Movement and Creating Corporate Change “(NYU Review of Law and Social Change, 2012).
