Ng Hoo Ming is in charge of the National Cyber Security Centre within the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). CSA was established in April 2015 under the Prime Minister’s Office as a centralized agency to coordinate all cybersecurity matters. He has worked in many key positions across his career, which began as Security R&D Engineer developing security products for the Singapore government. In the later part of his career, Hoo Ming assumed the role of IT Security Consultant, advising government ministries on IT security need and was also involved in numerous national-level projects such as the electronic road pricing system, the national cash card system and C4I system with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Prior to his current appointment, he was Director in charge of the Singapore Infocomms Technology Security Authority (SITSA), responsible in leading the national defensive response to major cyber-attacks against Singapore’s national critical information infrastructure.
