Mike Vergara

Mike Vergara, Senior Director of Risk Management at PayPal, leads the PayPal Risk Management team; helping PayPal evaluate over 1,000 characteristics to form a multi-layer risk management approach, including front end, back end, and offline. He has an extensive background in security and risk management. In addition to leading the resolution and protection product teams, creating buyer and seller security protections, he manages the teams creating “best in class” solutions that satisfy PayPal’s global regulatory requirements. These solutions include regional KYC/CIP, global AML and US regulations, like OFAC, FATCA and Remittance Transfer Rule. He also manages teams responsible for consumer and seller risk management that reduce fraud and credit risk, while also increasing revenue.
