Michelle Valdez

Michelle Valdez joined OneMain Financial as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in January 2020. She has over 15 years of cybersecurity and over 22 years of risk management experience in the US Air Force, US government, and industry. Prior to joining OneMain Financial, she was a Senior Director at Capital One for almost five years where she built their Cyber Resilience capabilities and led the development and enhancement of many enterprise-wide technology and security programs. Prior to Capital One, she spent 13 years in various roles supporting the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security and executive leaders across the critical infrastructure sectors. She developed national public and private sector cybersecurity policy and cyber-resilience programs.
