Michele Brown

Director, GM Information Security & IT Risk Management, General Motors

For 30 years, Michele Brown has been a proven leader in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Governance, Risk and Compliance. Brown is currently Director – Third Party Security, as part GM’s Information Security and IT Risk Management function. She is responsible for implementing a global, multi-year strategy to reduce cybersecurity risks in GM’s supply chain, dealer network, and key partnerships. Prior to joining GM, Brown served as a Sr. Consultant at Deloitte. She has been recognized for publishing the first Automotive Industry Third Party Security Requirements (AI-TPISR), and she currently represents GM in the Cyber Readiness Institute’s Cyber Experts Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in both Accounting and Information Systems and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University.
