Michael Palmer is The Chief Information Security Officer for Hearst, leading enterprise-wide vision, strategy, and architecture of information security and technology risk management, and integrating IT security as a critical component of business operations. With more than 360 businesses worldwide, Hearst is a leading diversified media, information, and services company. Prior to joining Hearst, Michael served as the first CISO for the National Football League. An industry thought leader passionate about diversity and inclusion, Michael serves on the Grambling State University Technology and Rochester Institute of Technology Computer Security Advisory Boards. In his work at the colleges, he helps shape the educational programs that train the next generation of cyber defenders.
