Michael Kranawetter

Since 2007, Michael Kranawetter has been National Security Officer and Head of Information Security at Microsoft Deutschland GmbH. In this role, he is responsible for IT governance, IT compliance and risk assessment, as well as the entire information security strategy of the company. Kranawetter has comprehensive and long-standing experience in the IT security industry. As Project Manager and Consultant, he implemented several major infrastructure projects, before he became Senior Service Manager and IT Architect at Munich Re AG, inter alia in the fields of security architecture, service management and IT governance. Most recently, he was responsible for the internal, internationally active security audit team, as well as for the risk management of information security, IT compliance and IT governance.
