Michael Phillips

Michael Phillips is the Chief Claims Officer of Resilience, the cyber insurance company. He previously served as the Head of Cyber, Media, and Technology Claims for North America at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, and as a cyber claims leader at Beazley. Phillips was previously a cyber insurance lawyer in private practice at the global law firm of Clyde & Co, representing international insurers. He is also a writer. His essays on law and technology have been published by The New Yorker, Bloomberg, and BuzzFeed. He has also contributed work to the legal treatises Surveillance and to Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts. He is a graduate of NYU (B.A. with honors), King’s College London (M.A. with distinction, War Studies), and Emory University School of Law.
