Michael Burch

Michael Burch is a former Army Green Beret turned Application Security Engineer. Currently, he serve as the senior enlisted Cyber Network Defender for the North Carolina National Guard. In his civilian career, he builds content for Security Journey, an innovative security experiment and learning platform that emphasizes creating a developer-focused security culture. He leverage his security knowledge and experience as a developer to educate and challenge other developers to be a part of the security team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security, and his certifications include Network+, Security+, GSEC, GPYC, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GSNA, GMON, and GSLC.
