Matt Doherty is an expert in assessing an individual’s potential for danger and leads Hillard Heintze’s Threat Assessment and Workplace Violence Prevention Practice. For over 25 years, he has advised federal agencies and private sector firms by assessing information about individuals who may have the interest, motive, intention and capability of violence. He has been credited with saving lives by intervening on critical situations involving domestic abuse, terminations, severe mental illness. Doherty’s career in the Secret Service included briefings for US Presidential and Vice Presidential Protective Divisions on threat investigations, coordinating some of our nation’s most critical protective intelligence investigations and managing the Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center.
