Matthew Travis

Matthew Travis is the first CEO of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body, Inc. (CMMC-AB), the Pentagon's exclusive CMMC partner and the sole authorized provider of cybersecurity accreditation and certification credentials for the Defense Industrial Base. Previously, Travis served as the first deputy director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the nation’s leading civilian cybersecurity agency. Travis was also the co-founder of Obsidian Analysis, Inc. A former naval officer, Travis served both aboard the guided-missile frigate U.S.S. CARR (FFG 52) and as White House Liaison to the Secretary of the Navy. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a master’s in National Security Studies from Georgetown University.
