Mary Brooks

Mary Brooks is a Fellow for Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats at the R Street Institute. Before joining R Street, she was the lead researcher and associate producer for The Perfect Weapon (2020)—an emmy-nominated HBO documentary that explored the rise of cyber conflict as a key feature of modern inter-state competition—and was a research assistant for the book on which the film is based. She is currently consulting on a forthcoming national security documentary / book project with New York Times journalist David E. Sanger.
