Markku-Juhani Saarinen

Markku-Juhani O. Saarinen has worked as a security engineer, consultant, and as an academic in the information security space for more than 15 years. As a trained cryptomathematician Saarinen has authored dozens of peer-reviewed research papers (mainly on breaking ciphers) but also maintains a well-rounded skill set related to system hacking and security engineering. Since late 1990's he has worked in operational and research roles in Europe, Middle East, United States and South-East Asia. He has developed encryption software, penetration testing tools and massive network filtering and monitoring technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London.
