Mahmood Sharif is a Ph.D. Student in the electrical and computer engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is co-advised by Lujo Bauer and Nicolas Christin. His research is in the areas of machine learning and computer security and privacy. A primary focus of his has been studying how attackers can practically fool machine-learning algorithms and how to prevent them. Sharif is a recipient of the CyLab Presidential fellowship and the Symantec Research Labs Graduate fellowship.
