Lisa Monaco is Co-Chair of the Data Security and Privacy Practice at O'Melveny & Myers and a Distinguished Senior Fellow at New York University Law School’s Reiss Center on Law and Security. She also co-chairs the Aspen Institute Cybersecurity Group. Lisa spent 20 years in government most recently serving as White House Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Advisor to President Barack Obama and prior to that as Assistant Attorney General for National Security. Her government service includes several senior roles in the Justice Department including as Chief of Staff to then-FBI Director, Robert S. Mueller, III. She also spent six years as a federal prosecutor and served on the Enron Task Force. Lisa is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and Harvard College.
