Libertad Castro

Libertad Castro is a cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management specialist with over ten years of experience designing and leading Information Security and technology governance programs across energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors, in both public and private organizations. She is a former CISO at Iberdrola Mexico and previously served as Privacy Manager at FICO. She holds a Master’s degree in ICT Law and has hands-on experience with frameworks such as ISO standards, TOGAF, and ISC2. She is the Founder of Libertad & Co., a boutique consultancy focused on ethical, strategic, and human-centered approaches to security and privacy. Since 2017, she has been a Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she focuses on governance, and trust based organizational resilience.
