Lawrence Orans

Lawrence Orans is a research director in Gartner’s Research organization. Orans’ research focuses on network security, with a particular emphasis on network access control and secure web gateways. Prior to joining Gartner in 1997, he held systems engineering positions at IBM, 3Com and Bay Networks (via Wellfleet Communications) where he worked with enterprises on designing and implementing secure network infrastructures. In total, he has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Education: B.S., Engineering, University of Pennsylvania, M.B.A., Stern School of Business at New York University.
