Laura Schaffner

Dr. Laura Georg-Schaffner is Associate Professor in Information Systems at the Ecole de Management Strasbourg, University of Strasbourg. She is member of the HuManiS laboratory. Her PhD thesis focused on the interrelationship between ISS and business strategy. Her current research focuses on management and governance issues in information security. She is the former head of the Norwegian Information Security research laboratory (NISlab) and has 20 years of experience in security management, eight as a management consultant working on more than 100 projects worldwide. She works as an expert for the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission and has affiliations with the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Security, Norway's largest University NTNU, and the University of Geneva.
