Kuntong Li is a Master’s Student at Shandong University, specializing in security analysis of symmetric cryptographic algorithms. Her work focuses on advancing meet-in-the-middle (MitM) techniques to overcome limitations of existing automatic tools. Key contributions include: Propose the n-XOR model to describe the XOR operation with an arbitrary number of inputs; Propose a check model to eliminate inaccuracies caused by n-XOR; Combined with the two new models, find MitM key recovery attacks on 11-round Midori64 and 12-round weakened midori64 with lower memory and data complexity; Besides, the preimage attack on weakened Camellia-MMO and Aria-DM are both improved by 1 round. These innovations address the limitations for primitives using a binary matrix as their linear layer.
