Kevin Skapinetz is responsible for overall direction for IBM’s technology to protect customers from cyber threats. He helped build IBM’s security business over the last ten years, growing it into one of the largest enterprise security companies in the world. A 20-year veteran of the security industry, Kevin joined IBM from Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM in 2006), where he held multiple leadership positions. He led the offering services for the storied X-Force research team as well as chief security strategist in the Office of the CTO, building the roadmap for securing emerging technologies, including virtualization and cloud computing. He holds a computer science degree from Tulane University and a master’s in information security from Georgia Institute of Technology."
