Senior Technical Director, Norton Innovation Labs
Kevin Alejandro Roundy received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin in 2012, when he joined NortonLifeLock Research Group (previously known as Symantec Research Labs) as a researcher. He and his colleagues have developed algorithms that block millions of malicious software files and mobile apps each day on behalf of NortonLifeLock’s nearly 50 million customers. His recent focus is on adversarial threats that evade machine learning and that use social engineering to evade defenses. He is currently focused on detecting phishing emails, scams, stalkerware, and other human-focused threats.
