Karel Baloun will receive a master of information in cybersecurity in 2020 and holds a master of science from UC Santa Cruz in social psychology. He was the first Senior Software Engineer at Facebook in 2005. Baloun is a three-time entrepreneur, including VC-funded i2we, inc. He has 15 years of Silicon Valley software architect and engineering experience, including at Oracle, HAL/Fujitsu, HP, Geoworks/Toshiba, and Looksmart. Baloun is interested in AI/ML and data visualization, social influence and persuasion, and the climate crisis.
