Julio Poveda is a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Maryland. He does cybersecurity and privacy research, and he is a volunteer at Cornell University's Clinic to End Technology Abuse (CETA), where he helps survivors of intimate partner violence tackle technology-facilitated abuse. His work has been featured by the Washington Post, New Scientist magazine, Krebs on Security, WUSA9, and he has co-led digital safety trainings for organizations like the US National Network to End Domestic Violence and Rights and Security International.
