Joseph Viens

Joe Viens is currently Senior Director of Government Affairs at Charter Communications. In this role, he is principally responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, primarily at the federal level. He is also the Primary Liaison to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other key industry stakeholders to coordinate national security and emergency preparedness initiatives. He has been in the industry for over 33 years, serving in multiple management roles, from technical operations, security, risk management and policy. Viens has also served in leadership roles in the Comm-ISAC and the Communication Sector Coordinating Council for over six years. Viens is board certified in security management from ASIS, and is a member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni.
