Jonathan Cedarbaum is a Professor of Practice in the national security and cybersecurity law program at George Washington University Law School. In 2021-2022 he served as Deputy Counsel to the President and National Security Council Legal Advisor, contributing to many Biden Administration cybersecurity initiatives. Formerly a Partner in the cybersecurity practice at WilmerHale, Jonathan has done a series of stints at the Department of Justice, including serving as Acting Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Office of Legal Counsel, which provides authoritative legal advice to the Attorney General, the President, and all Executive Branch Departments and Agencies. A former Supreme Court Law Clerk and Editor in Chief of the Yale Law Journal, he is an Editor at Lawfare.
