John Whited joined Raytheon three years ago following a long career in commercial telephony. Whited is a senior contributor in the Information Security Engineering (ISE) group within IIS in Garland, TX. During his tenure in commercial telephony, he and his peers were awarded 5 US patents, and he spoke at two Intelligent Network (IN) conferences. Since joining Raytheon, he has achieved the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certifications, as well as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certifications. He is currently working with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) staff to incorporate software security enablers which were developed in 2010. He is also participating in a corporate effort addressing supply chain practices. Mr. Whited is a graduate of Texas Tech University, holding both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E.).
