John D. Gregory is a retired member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canada. He practiced commercial law in Toronto for nearly 10 years and spent 30 years as a law reformer with the government of Ontario. He has a special interest in dispute resolution and in the law of information technology. He led the development of Canada’s uniform legislation on e-commerce and e-evidence. He was a member of the Canadian delegation to UNCITRAL’s Working Group on Electronic Commerce from 1997 to 2013, and in 2018 to 2019 consulted for the UN on four Asian countries’ legal readiness for cross-border paperless trade. From 2003 to 2018, he was active in the Cyberspace Committee of the Section of Business Law, American Bar Association.
