John Duncan received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his law degree and his masters of laws in taxation from New York University. He spent the first six years of his career as a tax lawyer at large nationally recognized firms followed by five years as an investment banker marketing financial products. Since then he has spent 18 years representing privately funded companies in all aspects of financing, operation and M&A, including five years as a General Counsel at a venture backed startup. Many of his clients have had extensive operations in foreign countries, including Russia, Hungary, China and the Cayman Islands. Two years ago he began to get involved in crypto currency transactions, and since then has provided advice to more than two dozen sponsors of crypto currencies.
