John Duffy

John Duffy is responsible for the security strategy and execution for CBN ID and Payment Systems, protecting platforms that process more than 200 million citizen identities across 80 countries in high-security, regulated environments. Ever used a passport to cross a border, made an Interac payment, visited a hospital, or bought a lottery ticket? Then it was most likely relied on systems he delivered securely. He has led teams behind multiple industry firsts: the first high-security ePassport, the first Driver's License with a printed digital signature, and the first general-public Mobile Driver's License. His work in secure identity and critical infrastructure has been recognized internationally, and he speaks regularly at industry events including SecTor, OWASP, ATLSecCon and BSides.
