Johann Heyszl received his Dipl.-Ing. degree (equivalent to M.Sc.) in computer engineering (Telematik) in 2007 from Graz University of Technology, Austria. From 2007 to 2009, Heyszl worked for Infineon in Graz and Munich in the areas of digital design of wireless chips, such as RFID and 802.15.4, and cryptographic components. He joined Fraunhofer SIT in 2009 to pursue a PhD degree. His research interests include fault and side-channel attacks as well as cryptographic hardware design.
