Jochai Ben-Avie is a global leader in policy, philanthropy, and impact investing, focusing on the intersection of tech and human rights. He is the Co-Founder and former CEO of Connect Humanity, an impact investment fund focused on expanding Internet access recognized by ImpactAssets as one of the top 50 global Emerging Impact Managers. He is also a Truman National Security Fellow, a Non-Resident Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and a WEF Global Shaper. He was previously Mozilla’s Head of International Public Policy and led the Firefox maker’s open source funding arm. Prior to Mozilla, he was the first Policy Director at Access Now and Co-Founder of RightsCon. He was educated at Bard College at Simon’s Rock where he graduated summa cum laude and the University of Oxford’s Lincoln College.
