Jill Aitoro

SC Media Editor in Chief Jill Aitoro has 20 years of experience editing and reporting on technology, business and policy. She also serves as editorial director at SC Media’s parent company, CyberRisk Alliance. She’s interviewed executives from Fortune 500 companies and government officials from around the globe, and is a regular speaker at conferences. Prior to joining CRA, she worked at Sightline Media as editor of Defense News and executive editor of the Business-to-Government Group, guiding and developing the editorial strategy for Defense News, Federal Times, C4ISRNET, and the cyber brand Fifth Domain. She previously worked at Washington Business Journal and Nextgov, covering federal technology, contracting and policy, as well as CMP Media’s VARBusiness and CRN and Penton Media’s iSeries News. Jill has received multiple award honors for her reporting, editorial writing, and multimedia editorial projects and has been a regular fixture on local and cable news broadcasts, focusing on the intersection of business, technology, and government. She hold a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in journalism, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Ohio University respectively, and lives with her family in Northern Virginia.
