Dr. Jeffrey H. Hunt is a Boeing Technical Fellow in the Research and Technology section of Boeing, where he has worked since 1988. He advises Boeing on cybersecurity. He received his B.S. in physics from the MIT in 1979, his M.A. in 1982 and Ph.D. in 1988 in physics from the University of California, Berkeley. Hunt is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the Optical Society of America. He presently serves as Vice Chair of the APS Forum on Industrial and Applied Physics. Hunt’s 27-year career includes projects that span condensed matter physics, photonics, nonlinear optics and quantum security. He has published 30 technical papers in diverse areas, including three books and two encyclopedia articles. He holds 71 U.S. patents, including some on quantum encryption.
