Jan Nys is Chief Risk Officer for IT and Information Security in the KBC Group. KBC is a large European Retail Banking and Insurance group with HQ in Belgium and entities in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgary and Ireland. Nys is responsible for the Information/Cybersecurity in the group and reports directly to the Group Chief Risk Officer. Nys has more than 25 years experience in different positions in development and infrastructure in the IT-department and has a university degree in Mathematics, IT and an MBA in the KUL in Leuven.
