Officer for the world’s largest integrated medical practice, Jim Nelms is responsible for all elements of Mayo Clinic’s enterprise information security program worldwide. These elements include the security and protection of all information shared and accessed by its 61,000 global employees and 1.2 million patients, located both domestically and abroad. Nelms is a member of the executive management team that oversees operations of Mayo Clinic’s $9 billion physician-led healthcare system. He has been an information security and risk management practitioner for 25 years, which provides broad experience in all aspects of creating, transforming and sustaining architectures for protecting organizations and their information assets.
