Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Private Sector Lead, Department of Homeland Security

James Murphy serves as the Industry Lead for the Cyber Division within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He leads the Division’s efforts to collaborate with the private sector to combat national security threats. Murphy has extensive experience working with companies across critical infrastructure sectors to establish and utilize bidirectional threat sharing capabilities with the Federal Government. Prior to his current role, Murphy served as the Engagement Lead for CISA’s Automated Indicator Sharing (AIS) initiative and played an instrumental role in executing EO 13691: Promoting Private Sector Cybersecurity Information Sharing. Murphy graduated from Syracuse University and obtained his MS in cybersecurity operations from the George Washington University.
