James Elste

James Elste serves as Chair of the NSTIC Identity Ecosystem Steering Group Privacy Coordination Standing Committee. Elste has extensive experience developing and managing enterprise security programs, in both the public and private sectors, as CISO for the State of Nevada and Director of IS Security and Internal Controls for International Game Technology, (IGT). He was a contributing author and SME for NV SB227 - "Nevada’s Encryption Law", which is nationally recognized as a leading example of cyber security legislation. He holds a BS in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas and MS in Information Assurance from Norwich University. He is a CISSP, a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and is Certified in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT).
