James Baker is the First Assistant Director-General, Cyber Threat Intelligence within the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). He oversees Incident Response, HUNT, Threat Detection, Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing, Malware Analysis and Cybercrime. James has worked across all ASD’s core functions, foreign signals intelligence, offensive cyber and cyber security during his career. He previously served as ASD’s North American Senior Liaison Officer based in Washington DC. Prior to that, James was Assistant Director-General of ASD’s Critical Infrastructure and Technology Branch within the ACSC, driving ASD’s operational efforts to uplift the cyber security of our critical infrastructure, and working collaboratively with Australian and International partners to shape legislative reforms.
