Jacob Klein is Head of Threat Intelligence at Anthropic, where he leads a team dedicated to detecting and investigating real-world AI misuse and translating those insights into safeguards against emerging threats. The team also red-teams to find novel ways to evade Anthropic Safeguards. Before joining Anthropic, Jacob built and scaled Coinbase's Trust and Safety organization, leading teams across threat investigations, data science, operations, and product policy to establish industry-leading user protections in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Jacob previously served as a Strategic Threat Intelligence Manager at Google, where he provided strategic risk assessments to senior leadership and architected Google's approach to countering violent extremism.
