Jaana Juvonen, Ph.D., is a Professor in Developmental Psychology at UCLA. Her main area of expertise pertains to bullying and adolescent development. In addition to her research and teaching, she consults schools on cyberbullying and anti-bullying interventions. Her studies are published in psychology journals, and include a book on Peer harassment in school: The plight of the vulnerable and victimized. Dr. Juvonen is a former recipient of a National Academy of Education Spencer Fellowship, Senior Fellowship of the Academy of Finland, and the UCLA Psychology Department Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award. Her research has been cited in various media outlets, including New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Atlantic Monthly, Christian Science Monitor, and the Time magazine.
