Irippuge Milinda Perera is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the Graduate Center of CUNY under the supervision of Professor Nelly Fazio. Perera’s research fields of interest include Cryptography and Steganography with a focus on foundations, provable constructions and special properties. His recent contributions to the field span from practical protocols, such as the introduction of Outsider-Anonymous Broadcast Encryption and Broadcast Steganography, to theoretical results, such as providing Hard-Core Predicates for the Diffie-Hellman Problem over Finite Fields. Before starting the Ph.D. program, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the City College of New York of CUNY with a B.Sc. in Computer Science. He was also awarded the Alumni Medal in Computer Science.
