Ibrahim Waziri Jr.

Ibrahim Waziri Jr., PhD, is a Principal Security Product Manager at Microsoft and a ShareTheMicInCyber Fellow at New America. He leads the integration of secure engineering practices with regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with governance and risk management frameworks. He earned his PhD in Information Security from Purdue University, and his work and research focus on security engineering and making cybersecurity and responsible AI policies implementable for engineering teams, strengthening resilience, compliance, and trust in digital ecosystems within the public sector. Ibrahim is passionate about special needs education in K-12 and serves on a non-profit board.
