Captain Houston Mills is President of Flight Operations at UPS Airlines, overseeing global activities and regulatory compliance for one of the world’s largest cargo carriers. His UPS career includes roles as Director of Global Aviation Strategy & Public Policy and Part 119 Director of Airline Safety and Compliance. In 2024, the US Secretary of Transportation appointed him to the FAA Management Advisory Council; he also formerly chaired the FAA Advanced Aviation Advisory Committee. A former Marine Corps officer and F/A-18 pilot, Houston is an internationally qualified Boeing 757/767 Captain. He holds an MBA from Webster University and an Honorary Doctor of Science from Vaughn College. In December 2020, he captained the first COVID-19 flight in the US.
