Heidi Shey

Heidi Shey is a principal analyst at Forrester where she leads Forrester's research on data security. Heidi guides security leaders and tech executives at enterprise and government organizations in applying a Zero Trust, data-centric approach to securing data, advising in areas like sensitive data discovery and classification, data loss prevention, secure communications, privacy preserving technologies, post-quantum security, and more. Her research coverage also includes cyber insurance. She has been with Forrester since 2006 where her prior roles focused on tech sector economics and tech vendor strategy. Heidi holds a BA in economics and studio art with honors from Wellesley College and an MS in cybersecurity policy from the University of Maryland.
