Hazim Almuhimedi

Hazim Almuhimedi is the Vice Governor for Risk and Compliance at the National Cybersecurity Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a role he has held since January 2022. He leads national cybersecurity risk and compliance programs and oversees cybersecurity readiness across public and private sector entities. Previously, he served as General Manager for Cybersecurity and Data Governance at the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission, where he led sector-wide initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity and data governance. Hazim holds a PhD in Societal Computing from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on usable privacy and security, with peer-reviewed publications in USENIX Security, SOUPS, CHI, and other leading conferences.
