Grant McKechnie

Grant McKechnie is a distinguished CISO and Senior Risk Leader with over 20 years of experience across major Australian corporations, including Endeavour Group, Telstra Corporation, and NBN Australia. At Endeavour Group, he built the cybersecurity function post-demerger, aligning cyber risk with strategy across 28 subsidiaries. At Telstra, he led a 75-person team, executed a three-year cybersecurity strategy, and established a $2.4M Cyber Threat Response Centre. At NBN Australia, he contributed to developing one of Australia's most secure networks. He also held roles at NAB and BP. Named a top ten APAC CISO by Enterprise Security Magazine (2022), he also chaired a national cybersecurity education initiative and is known for blending deep technical insight with strategic leadership.
